Piggery
The Nsobe Piggery is busy with the construction of a 250 sow breeding unit which will provide the CopperKing Co Ltd with 30 kg live weaners for onward growing by small scale farmers.
The Piggery is also growing out their own pigs and is currently running 1500 pigs which provide manure to the Fisheries and are slaughtered at an abattoir on site for onward sale to Quicksave Ltd in Ndola.
The Nsobe Piggery is also involved in the Importing of new genetic material and these are also made available to prospective farmers in the form of F1 cross bred pigs (Large White x Landrace) for breeding.
