Nsobe World of Birds for Children
Without the ability to imagine a better life, children can not dream of one.
Unless we can dream we can not hope and strive for better things.
So many Zambian children are limited by poverty and the dusty drabness of compound life. They do not come into contact with beauty and the awesome wonder of God’s creation in nature as He intended. They do not know or understand the richness of the environment, and how they can make a difference in it and how contact with it can make a huge difference in them. We believe that through educating Children about nature, our environment, the beauty of our country and all the wonders it offers from wild animals to beautiful scenery, that we can teach them to care about our country and themselves. To instil a sense of pride in themselves, a sense of belonging to something that is beautiful and good and great and bigger than daily problems.
Nsobe Game Camp is setting up an educational facility called the Nsobe World of Birds for Children. This consists of large walk-through aviaries where children can see birds and wildlife in their natural habitat up close. There is also a snake and Reptile Park, and educational information on trees and many other aspects of our flora and fauna. Children who before would never have had the opportunity to interact and appreciate nature will have a chance to do so. This is a work in progress.
The center will also serve as a HELP LINE for abused children, drug addicts and alchoholics.
